SUMPTER CITY WATER RATE INCREASE

The Sumpter Drinking Water utility has experienced a 17% increase in operating costs in the past few years. During the October 10, 2023 city council meeting, councilors approved a 5% rate increase on all water rates.The new rates are effective November 1, 2023. The city’s billing system is in the process of updating all customers’ accounts. The increase will begin showing up on monthly statements in December.
New water rates are as follows:
